Well, I hope you are all safe and well, during this troubled time for the human race across the entire planet. It is certainly the most sobering time I have ever known in my life. There are some bright rays of light shining though, and the way the majority of people have pulled together to help each other is genuinely heart-warming. Maybe we can hold onto some of this good will to others, once we’ve reach better times.
Back in the middle of March, I was out and about looking for some wildlife to photograph with my newly upgraded long lens. I had a spot in mind where I thought I might find some, and in particular I hoped to at least see a bird of prey there, and if I was really lucky grab some images of one.
The location has some woodland that overlooks some waste land, with a river on the far side. To me it seems like the perfect place for birds of prey to hunt, it’s got great vantage points, areas of cover and open areas, it’s got it all I think, and if I was a bird of prey I think I’d hang out there!
I filmed myself on this mini adventure, to share the journey with you, and also tell you a little more about my new lens, and how I’m getting on with it in my photography. You can see the short film I made documenting the trip in the link below.
