My mum lives in a wonderful little village on the edge of the Clwydian Range. It’s the kind of place that defines the word “community”.
It’s a small, rural village, and as such I guess has less government funding than the large built up cities. I dont know that for a fact, its just an assumption. Either way, the play ground in the village is funded entirely by the local residents, and those that visit to use the park.
Today, the village held a fund rasisng BBQ to raise money for maintenance of the playground, so we went along to support. Both our girls love the playgound, and its not exacly difficult to go and eat BBQ food and play games in the gorgeous Welsh countryside, is it!
This, is how the day unfolded, in pictures.
Just an amazing day, and all for a superb cause! I used my 50mm lens exclusively today, so the camera “work” was more care free and I could focus on the day, and making sure the kids enjoyed themselves as much as possible. Its such a great lens for days like these, the fun ones.
Not my normal style of editing tooday, but again, it was improtant to me that I captured the day, just as it was, bight, sunny and just full of happiness.
It’s what bank holidays should be about!
