Sorry, this was photograph No2……..
You know what though, it was mega hard to do! Apart from taking it one handed and it being my face, I was concentrating so hard I wasn’t smiling on the first shot at all.
I fully intended to use the first picture, all the same, but I just couldn’t bring myself to do it.
Before I got home, I really didn’t know what I was going to try and photograph, but with the rain pouring down I had decided to take a photograph of something in doors.
I don’t mind the rain one bit, but I’m not sure how weather resistant my camera is, and I don’t want to take any chances.
Just so you know, I used the same lens as yesterday, in auto, with the following settings:
F/4 aperture
18mm focal length
ISO 2000
1/30 shutter
That’s interesting to me, only because I always set my ISO a lot lower, because I don’t want any grain in the finished shot.
The shutter speed is a lot lower than I would set it too, I would have set it much higher with that level of ISO.
Interesting, and after today I am even more nervous about trying to take a single shot in full manual mode!
Learnings – taking a “selfie” in one shot, that your going to share on your 365 challenge, is proper scary.
I learnt a lot about my own confidence today with my photography, and I also learnt not to be too afraid of turning the ISO up more than I do normally.
